From Understanding Agriculture to Empowering the People Who Will Shape Its Future
For more than two decades, Nitin Singhal has worked closely with agriculture, farmers and the realities of the field. His career began in the chemical industry, with international business across more than 15 countries, but his deepest learning came from years spent in farmers' fields, season after season. In 2008 that experience led him to establish Huntin Organics, in search of permanent, sustainable answers to farming challenges.
Over the years one larger problem became clear: agriculture does not need solutions alone — it needs skilled people who can understand, communicate and implement them. Students leave college with knowledge but little exposure to farmers, field situations, technology and business. Farmers and agri-organisations, meanwhile, need trained people who can earn trust and turn knowledge into measurable results.
That realisation became NMASTE: a platform to bridge the distance between what a student learns, what the industry needs and what a farmer actually experiences. For him it marks a shift from solving individual agricultural problems to developing the people who can solve thousands of them — professionals for whom a qualification is only the beginning.
